银燕1号是以美国引进的燕麦新品种STARK为基础材料，经多年系统选育而成的裸燕麦新品种。在2009 — 2012年多点区域试验中， 4 a 24点(次)折合平均产量2 518.5 kg/hm2，较对照品种定莜2号平均增产12.2%；比对照品种会宁莜麦平均增产48.4%。该品种生育期89～112 d，株高85～120 cm，千粒重19.6～21.8 g。籽粒含粗蛋白(干基)193.5 g/kg、粗脂肪(干基)88.9 g/kg、粗淀粉(干基)622.9 g/kg、β葡聚糖51.4 g/kg。适宜在白银市干旱、半干旱雨养地区及生态相似区域种植。
