啤酒大麦新品种甘啤7号以8759-72-3为母本、KRONA为父本，采用系谱法杂交选育而成。甘啤7号具有高产、优质、抗逆和广适等优良特点，酿造指标均达到国家优级标准。在2000 — 2002年的品鉴试验中，甘啤7号的平均产量为9 745.35 kg/hm2，较对照品种甘啤4号增产19.5%。大面积示范平均产量在7 500 kg/hm2左右，最高产量在9 750 kg/hm2以上。适宜在甘肃省河西走廊、中部沿黄灌区、西北及内蒙古、黑龙江等同类地区种植。

This cultivar has many good characteristics such as high yield，high quality，disease resistance，loding resistance，widely suitable， the brewing indicators have reached the national standard. In 2000 — 2002， the average yield reaches 9 745.35 kg/hm2， which is 19.5% higher than that of the check Ganpi 4 in the line identification test. In Large area demonstration， the average yield is 7 500 kg/hm2， the highest yield reaches 9 750 kg/hm2 above. It is adapts to be planted in Hexi Corridor of Gansu province， central of Yellow River Irrigation District Northwest， Inner Monglia， Heilongjiang and other similar areas.
