在定西市进行的燕麦引种试验结果表明，皮燕麦定燕2号、白燕14号农艺性状表现突出，经济性状优，抗病性强、抗旱、挤倒伏，产量较高，品质优良，是适合甘肃中部干旱半干旱地区种子和饲草生产的品种；裸燕麦坝莜13号、坝莜14号农艺性状表现突出，经济性状优，产量较高，品质优良，是适合甘肃中部干旱半干旱地区种子生产品种；定燕2号和远杂2号蛋白质含量较高(＞19.55%)，白燕15号脂肪含量较高( ＞ 8.55%)，是适合粗饲料加工的品种。
