春小麦新品种定西49号是以外引材料叙利亚S75为母本、定西36号为父本杂交选育而成的。2018 — 2019年参加甘肃省旱地春小麦新品种区域试验，2 a平均折合产量3 034.5 kg/hm2，较对照品种西旱2号增产8.58%。2020年在甘肃省旱地春小麦新品种生产试验中，平均折合产量3 546.9 kg/hm2，较对照品种西旱2号增产8.73%。籽粒含粗蛋白质(干基)140.0 g/kg、湿面筋321.0 g/kg、赖氨酸3.8 g/kg，沉降值32.1 mL，吸水率60.5%，稳定时间1.6 min，最大拉伸阻力142 E.U，拉伸面积26 cm2。适宜在海拔1 700～2 300 m、年降水量350～400 mm的甘肃中部春麦旱地种植。

Dingxi 49 is bred by hybridization with Introduction material Syria S75 as female parent and Dingxi 36 as male parent. It is suitable to be grown in spring wheat dryland of central Gansu with an annual precipitation of 350～400 mm and an elevation of 1 700～2 300 m.
