This paper analyzed the research hotspot and development direction of traditional Chinese medicine cultivation in the past ten years to provide a reference for traditional Chinese medicine cultivation research. CiteSpacev.5.8.R3 was used to analyze the data of traditional Chinese medicine cultivationin the CNKI database from January 1, 2012, to March 10, 2022. A total of 702 Chinese literatures were analyzed. The author's cooperation map analysis showed that Wan Xiufu, Guo Lanping, and Sun Jiahui of Huang Luqi's team were the core scholars in the field of traditional Chinese medicine cultivation. Institutional cooperation map analysis showed that the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences was the core institutionin the field of traditional Chinese medicine cultivation. Keyword map analysis showed that research on cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine involved cultivation technology, pest control, quality, yield, etc., and the popularity of culture technique and cultivation managementis increasing every year. Culture techniqe, integrated control, cultivation under forests, and bionic cultivation are the research hotspots and future development directions in field of traditional Chinese medicine cultivation.
